STAREP is the owner of a carrier mounted drilling rig CABOT 900. This rig was last completely refurbished in september 2015.

The advantage to use the CABOT 900 is the fact that gasoil consumption is very low compared to other rigs. The rig is also very easy to move and requires a small footprint. Thus, the mobilization cost is by far less expensive than similar rigs.

The rig is now used to drill deep geothermal wells in Tunisia at depths reaching 2500 m. It can also be used to drill water wells for Oil companies and carry out work over operations.
